As a girl who takes pride in her daily outfits (and just so happens to have them constantly noticed), I’m often asked where I do my shopping. The answer isn’t simple—it really depends. It varies based on what I’m looking for specifically (if anything at all), whether I’m just browsing, and even what time of year it is. Different stores have better-quality sweaters in the fall or cuter dresses and linens in the summer.
As we get to know each other a little better, you’ll start to see what’s worth investing in as a forever closet staple and what’s better left to a quick Amazon or H&M purchase. So let’s start here—with a list of my 10 favorite places to build my wardrobe and the specific purpose each one serves.
- Farfetch

Not necessarily the place for a deal, but definitely my go-to for a “cool girl” piece or a worthy designer splurge. Think elevated staples or statement items that feel fashion-forward without being overdone.
2.Amazon
Anything and everything. From basic T-shirts and tank tops to activewear, last-minute needs, or super trendy pieces I don’t want to splurge on. It’s the definition of convenient—and surprisingly reliable for quick fashion fixes
3. H&M

My go-to for basics, affordable workwear, and trendy jeans I don’t want to fully invest in. Great for keeping up with current styles without committing to a high price tag.
4. Zara

I get most of my going-out tops here, along with accessories—especially bags—plus coats, jackets, and dresses. It’s a solid spot for trend-forward pieces that still feel put together.
5. Fashionphile

If I’m making a big designer purchase, it’s almost always secondhand—and usually from Fashionphile. It’s reliable, well-curated, and a smarter way to invest in luxury.
6. Nordstrom

Dare I say it—best rewards and credit card points out there. It carries nearly every brand I shop, from high-end designers to more affordable labels, all in one place. Can’t forget to add, their return policy is unmatched.
7. Free People

I always feel like such a cool girl in their clothes—especially in the summer. Plus they have one of my favorite shoe selections.
8. Revolve

Reliable and fast. My favorite for occasions, events, and shoes.
9. The Outnet

Best for discounted designer. For me, it’s usually for occasions or vacation.
10. J. Crew

Reliable basics. Quality (and budget friendly) cashmere, linen, and denim.
There you have it — my go to spots for every occasion, season, and mood. A good place to start as I take you for a closer look into my closet and pending shopping carts.
XOXO,
Sam ❤
