Summer travel is right around the corner, babyyyyy—bring on the sun, sea-side dinners, and outfits that flow easier than the rosé. Still, if you’re anything like me, you’ve stared at your suitcase trying to figure out how to fit your whole closet just in case. But true style is in the edit. This guide is all about packing intentionally: versatile pieces, elevated essentials, and a few personal favorites that help every outfit feel polished without the extra bulk.
Let’s talk shoes. You only need three pairs.
I know, I know— narrowing it down is tough. But hear me out, shoes take up space, and I promise, you really don’t need that many. Here’s the magic formula:
- Your flip-flop or pool/beach pool shoe.
Obviously for the beach and pool, but also just to throw on when you’re just bopping around.

- A heel/ wedge
Your “dinner” shoe. For elevating the outfit and dress it up.

- Flat sandal
For when you need an in between—not as casual as a flip flop, maybe not as intense as a heel.

Linen, linen, linen
Linen pants, shorts, shirts—you can dress them up with heels or a belt for dinner, dress them down with flip-flops for a morning walk , or throw them over your swimsuit as a cover-up. So much versatility.

Hats + Sunglasses
Protect your skin, protect your eyes, and save yourself from the urge to pile makeup on in the heat. With the right accessories, you’ll feel polished, and photo-ready.

The wild card: a silk scarf
Maybe it’s a “Sam thing,” but I swear by a good silk scarf. Wear it on your head, in your braid, tied to your beach bag, or even as a halter or tube top. It takes up no space, goes with everything, and always earns a compliment (or five).

Safe travels queens!
XOXO,
Sam ❤
